As one of its major events, the Racing Register of the MG Car Club of Victoria (MGCC) conducts an annual racing competition, which forms part of the Victorian State Circuit Racing Championship conducted by CAMS, and also includes in its annual race series other race meetings held in Victoria and occasionally elsewhere. for the 2008 Wurth MG Road Racing Championship.
The 2008 Wurth MG Road Racing Championship is open to all cars of the MG marque driven by members of the MG Car Club.
The competition is conducted under the rules of the MGCC and the Racing Register, and is run for the benefit of the members of the MGCC.
The competition is designed to reward competitors who display good driving skills, regular attendance at race meetings and maintain a reliable race-car.
The competition is conducted for any cars of the MG marque, in six Classes:
- Open-1 and Open-2 (Racing);
- Fast Road-1 and Fast Road-2; and
- Historic-1 and Historic-2
